The short answer
Chemical bed bug treatment in the GTA costs about $450 to $600 per visit and needs at least two visits. Heat treatment costs $450 to $800+ and usually works in one visit because it reaches every life stage, eggs included. Heat is best for heavy infestations or when you need your home back fast.
Signs you need bed bugs treatment
- Itchy bites in a line or cluster, often on arms, neck or legs
- Small dark spots or rusty stains on sheets and mattress seams
- Live bugs, about the size of an apple seed, in seams and bed frames
- Pale shed skins and tiny white eggs in crevices
- A musty, sweet odour in heavy infestations
How we treat it
- 01
Confirm
We inspect beds, furniture and baseboards to confirm bed bugs and map how far they have spread.
- 02
Prep
You get a written, room-by-room prep checklist. It is also in your booking email and your account.
- 03
Treat
Heat raises the room to a temperature that kills every life stage; chemical treatment targets seams, cracks and voids.
- 04
Follow-up
Chemical treatment includes a second visit about two weeks later to catch newly hatched bugs.

How to prepare: Bed bugs
- Wash bedding, curtains and clothing from affected rooms on hot, dry on high heat, and seal in clean plastic bags
- Vacuum mattresses, box springs, carpets and baseboards; empty the vacuum outside
- Pull beds and furniture about 30 cm away from the walls
- Empty nightstands and dressers near the bed; do not move items into other rooms
- Plan for everyone, including pets, to be out during treatment and until your technician says it is safe to return
How to prepare: Bed bugs (heat)
- Remove heat-sensitive items: candles, crayons, medications, aerosols, plants, instruments and vinyl records
- Leave bedding on beds and clothes in drawers — the heat treats them in place
- Unplug electronics you are worried about and tell your technician where they are
- Plan for everyone, including pets, to be out of the home for 6 to 8 hours
Bed bugs FAQ
Good questions,straight answers.
Heat or chemical: which is better for bed bugs?
Heat treatment costs $450 to $800+ and usually clears an infestation in one visit. Chemical treatment costs $450 to $600 per visit and needs at least two visits. We recommend heat for a heavy infestation or when you need your home back in one day.
Do neighbouring units need treatment too?
Often, yes. In condos, apartments, townhouses and basement units, bed bugs travel through shared walls and laundry rooms. We can treat neighbouring units at the same visit so the problem does not bounce back.
Can I stay at home during treatment?
No. Everyone, including pets, needs to be out during treatment and until your technician says it is safe to return. For heat treatment, plan for 6 to 8 hours.
Should I throw out my mattress?
Usually not. Mattresses and box springs can be treated, and encasements help trap any survivors. Throwing furniture out can spread bed bugs to other rooms and neighbours.
