Exterm Pest Control (“Exterm”, “we”) collects only the personal information we need to book and carry out pest control visits, keep the treatment records Ontario requires, and keep you informed about your visits. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

What we collect

  • Your name, email, mobile number and preferred way to be contacted.
  • The address of each property we treat, access details (gate or lockbox codes, parking), pets, and whether infants or pregnant occupants live there, because it affects product choice and re-entry times.
  • Visit details: dates and times, services, prices, notes, and the service report, including products used, photos of pest activity, and your signature if you sign on site.
  • Messages we send you and whether they were delivered, opened or clicked, so we can confirm you received important information.
  • When you use the website quote form, the answers you choose and the contact details you enter.

How we use it

  • To book, confirm, remind you about and carry out your visits.
  • To send your service report and keep a written record of every treatment.
  • To ask for a review after a visit (you can turn these off at any time).
  • To send seasonal pest tips, only if you ticked the box to receive them.

Emails and texts

Booking confirmations, reminders and service reports are sent for every visit. Every email includes our name, phone number and a link to your email preferences, and every text ends with “Reply STOP to opt out”. Turning off tips or review emails never stops booking and report messages.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the business, such as our email and text message providers and our hosting provider, and only as needed to provide their service. How long we keep it

Treatment records and service reports are kept for at least the period required for extermination records in Ontario. [Set the retention period confirmed with the Ministry.] Other information is kept while you are a client and deleted when no longer needed.

Your choices

  • See, download and correct your details any time from Profile in your account.
  • Change your email preferences from the link in any email.
  • Ask us to correct or delete information by contacting us below.

Security

Passwords are stored only as strong hashes, account links work once and expire, and report PDFs and photos are only available through private links that expire.
